AI cartoon market is booming! In 2025, there are over 80,000 registered companies in China related to cartoons.

According to data from Qichacha, by the end of 2025, China had a total of 80,200 registered companies related to animation, an increase of 37.1% compared to the same period in 2024; among them, the East China region had the highest number of registered companies in 2025, accounting for 32.2%, followed by the South China region at 25.2%; as of February 5, 2026, China had registered 7,307 animation-related companies. In terms of existing companies, over the past decade, the number of animation-related companies in China has been increasing year by year, with a total of 245,000 animation-related companies still in existence as of February 5, 2026.
