Rui Wenbiao, Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that the direct annual output value of geographical indication products in China is close to 1 trillion yuan, achieving five consecutive increases, becoming a "golden business card" for characteristic industries to increase income and become rich, effectively assisting regional economic development. By the end of 2025, China had accumulated 5,066 certified geographical indication products, approved 7,425 collective trademarks and certification trademark registrations, and more than 52,000 entities were approved to use geographical indication special logos.
