In 2026, the year of the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan", at a press conference held today by the State Council Information Office, relevant officials from the National Intellectual Property Administration said they will accelerate the promotion of a new round of comprehensive amendments to the Trademark Law and the Regulations on the Protection of Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits. They will strengthen the legislative research and demonstration of geographical indication laws. They will improve the intellectual property protection system in new fields and formats such as artificial intelligence. They will continuously improve the rules for protecting data intellectual property rights and further deepen related pilot projects.
