At the 7th People's Daily Content Technology Forum held on December 25th, Huang Xiangjun, Vice President of R&D at Muxi Corporation, showcased the latest progress in domestic high-performance GPUs. In his speech, he stated that Muxi is committed to building world-class GPU chips and computing platforms, striving to become the cornerstone of digital economy computing power, and has already achieved a series of breakthroughs in key technologies. Huang Xiangjun explained that after about five years of technological accumulation, Muxi has completed a leap in the landing of its product matrix, has built a self-developed complete product line, and has identified three major product series: Xisi mainly focuses on inference products; Xi Yun focuses on training and inference integrated products; and there is also Xicai, a product line for graphics rendering. Currently, the Xisi and Xi Yun series products have entered the mass production stage. When discussing the choice of technical route, Huang Xiangjun emphasized the core concept of "generality." He explained that due to the natural mismatch between the long cycle of chip development and the rapid iteration of software, and high-performance GPUs are mainly used in multi-task and multi-load data center scenarios, it is necessary to ensure that the chip has enough generality to adapt to future diverse computing needs.
