Mentougou will create five new educational highlands, with five academicians serving as scientific education mentors.

On December 19, at the Beijing Mentougou District Education Conference with the theme of "Building a high-quality and distinctive education new highland in western Beijing", a series of measures to promote high-quality education development were announced. Five academicians, including Academician Wang Jingxiu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, were appointed as scientific education mentors for the five major education groups in Mentougou District. Mentougou will focus on implementing actions in four areas: party building leadership, system restructuring, efficiency incentives, and teacher respect and education, to create five new education highlands in ideological and political education, scientific education, high-quality balance, comprehensive development, and safety resilience. At the same time, Mentougou District signed cooperation agreements with Capital Normal University and other universities to promote education cooperation and talent development.
