Former party committee member and deputy director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation Li Jian has been expelled from the party and dismissed from public office.
According to a report from the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on December 19th, with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial Committee, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has launched an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Li Jian, former member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation.
After investigation, it was found that Li Jian had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, resisted organizational inspection, disregarded the spirit of the central government's eight provisions, sought special treatment, improperly equipped himself with a government vehicle, accepted gifts and banquets that could affect the fair execution of official duties, violated organizational principles, failed to report personal matters as required, sought personal gains for others, accepted money and gifts, engaged in profit-making activities, engaged in corruption, interfered with market economic activities, pursued low-level interests, engaged in gambling, greedily used public power for personal gain, conducted power and money transactions, and illegally received large sums of money.
Li Jian's actions seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, mass discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, constituted serious violations of duty and suspicion of bribery crimes. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he has not corrected his behavior or restrained himself, and his actions have had a serious and negative impact, requiring strict disciplinary action.
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Public Servants Administrative Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China," and after discussion and approval by the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection Committee and report to the Guizhou Provincial Committee, it was decided to expel Li Jian from the Party, dismiss him from his public office, terminate his qualification as a delegate to the 13th Guizhou Provincial Congress, confiscate his ill-gotten gains from violating discipline and laws, and transfer his suspected criminal activities to the procuratorial organ for investigation and prosecution, along with the transfer of all relevant assets.
