A small airplane crashed in Mexico, causing multiple deaths.

On December 15th at noon local time, a small plane crashed in central Mexico while attempting to make an emergency landing. According to the local civil defense department, the private plane was carrying 8 passengers and 2 crew members, but only 7 bodies were found hours after the crash and no survivors have been located. The small plane took off from Acapulco on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The crash occurred in an industrial area just 5 kilometers from Toluca airport near the capital, Mexico City. The civil defense department stated that the small plane was apparently trying to make an emergency landing on a nearby soccer field, but hit the metal roof of a business, causing a large fire. The fire forced around 130 people to evacuate the area. The crash is currently under investigation.
