Today, at the 2025-2026 China Economic Annual Meeting held at the China International Economic Exchange Center, Xiao Weiming, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that next year, efforts will be made to promote regional coordinated development and consolidate and enhance the role of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and other regions as drivers of high-quality development. Actively and prudently promote the relocation and construction of projects for universities, hospitals, central enterprises, financial institutions, research institutes, and public institutions in Xiong'an New Area. Currently, the permanent population of Xiong'an has reached around 1.4 million, showing a significant increase compared to previous figures, and the embryonic form of a new urbanization has begun to emerge.
