Shanghai Pudong releases artificial intelligence innovation and entrepreneurship support policies.
On December 13th, at the Global Developer Pioneer Conference and International Embodied Intelligent Skills Competition held at the Shanghai Zhangjiang Science Hall, Wang Xiao, Director of the Science, Technology, and Economic Commission of Pudong New Area, Shanghai, announced the Pudong New Area's policy to support artificial intelligence innovation and entrepreneurship. Wang Xiao stated that Pudong aims to become the preferred global destination for AI innovation and entrepreneurship. To achieve this, Pudong will launch a series of support policies, including entrepreneurship support and fund guarantees, to empower the AI industry throughout its entire lifecycle. In the future, AI companies starting up in Pudong will receive five "first" services. Specifically, these include: the "first workspace," offering the first year free and subsequent years evaluated for continued free access to an OPC exclusive workspace; the "first apartment," with a monthly rent not exceeding 2000 RMB; the "first employee," providing a monthly training and internship subsidy of 2000 RMB; the "first startup capital," with 100 million RMB in entrepreneurship funds annually for three years; and the "first financing," with a maximum of 5 million RMB in AI seed funding and a 500,000 RMB interest-free, unsecured loan.
