Chinese Economic Forum: Next year we plan to increase the supply of high school diplomas and enroll more undergraduate students in top quality colleges.

Today, at the 2025-2026 China Economic Annual Conference held at the China International Economic Exchange Center, Han Wenxiu, Deputy Director in charge of daily work at the Central Finance and Economics Office and Director of the Central Agriculture Office, stated that we must adhere to the principle of putting people's livelihood first and strive to do more practical things for the people. Han Wenxiu said that we must adapt to the changes in the age structure of the population, promote the adjustment and optimization of the layout structure of educational resources, increase the supply of high school places and enrollment in quality undergraduate colleges. Currently, the situation of strong supply and weak demand is also quite obvious in the employment field, so we must strengthen the policy orientation of prioritizing employment, implement actions to stabilize employment, expand and improve job quality, focus on stabilizing employment for key groups such as college graduates and migrant workers, and continuously improve the quality of employment. We must encourage and support flexible and new forms of employment personnel to participate in employee insurance.
