There are strict meteorological criteria for defining the first snow day in Beijing. The first snow day refers to the date when a large-scale snowfall process first occurs within the Beijing area, meeting one of the following two conditions: more than 10 out of 20 artificial stations in the city observe snowfall; 5 stations in the urban area observe snowfall, or 3 or more of the 5 urban stations observe snowfall, with at least one station recording a snowfall of 0.1 mm. The city is currently under a double warning, with the peak on Friday evening, slippery roads, and caution is advised while driving.
