The European Union launches an anti-dumping investigation into silicon manganese steel wire from China.

On December 11, the European Commission announced that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into silicon-manganese steel wire originating from China, in response to applications submitted by EU companies ELBOR S.p.a., Electroda Zagreb d.d., Electro Portugal Lda., Hermann Fliess & Co. GmbH, ItalfilSpa, Multimet Sp. z o.o., S.I.A.T. Societ Italiana Acciai Trafilati S.p.A., and Westflische Drahtindustrie GmbH on October 29, 2025. The dumping investigation period is from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2022 to the end of the dumping investigation period.
