On July 23, the Hong Kong dollar interbank interest rates showed mixed developments, with the one-month interbank rate related to property rising for two consecutive days to 0.93817%, the highest since July 18, an increase of 0.859 basis points. The three-month interbank rate, which reflects the cost of bank funds, fell by 1.137 basis points to 1.78101%, the lowest since July 3. The overnight rate was 0.18512%, a decrease of 1 basis point. The one-week interbank rate increased by 1.488 basis points to 0.32125%, while the two-week rate rose by 0.899 basis points to 0.59095%. In terms of longer-term rates, the six-month interbank rate fell by 3.244 basis points to 2.4381%, while the one-year rate fell by 1.679 basis points to 2.88976%.
