Midland Realty: The transaction volume of second-hand residential estates in Hong Kong dropped slightly last Tuesday, with a total of 51 transactions recorded in 35 large residential estates.
Data from the American Bank Branch in Hong Kong shows that in the past week (April 14 to April 20), there were a total of 51 transactions in 35 large housing estates, a decrease of approximately 1.9% compared to the previous week (April 7 to April 13), which recorded 52 transactions.
Although last weekend in Hong Kong was the Easter holiday, with many Hongkongers traveling abroad and the hot subscription of a large-scale new property in West Sha, seizing the focus of the property market, secondary trading in Hong Kong only slightly decreased over the past week. According to data from Midland Realty, a total of 51 transactions were recorded in 35 large housing estates in Hong Kong in the past week (April 14th to April 20th), a decrease of about 1.9% from the previous week (April 7th to April 13th) with 52 transactions.
Midland Realty's chief analyst Liu Jiahui pointed out that if the 35 housing estates are divided into three districts, in the New Territories, 17 housing estates recorded 25 transactions last week, an increase of about 25% over the week. Among them, Discovery Bay increased by 6 transactions, City One Shatin by 2 transactions, Discovery Bay, Greenview Villa, The Beaumont, Parc Palais, and Regentville each increased by 1 transaction; even with a decrease of 3 transactions each in Park Mediterranean and Tai Po Centre, and a decrease of 1 transaction each in Laguna Verde and Plaza Hollywood, it did not prevent an increase in trading in the New Territories last week.
In the Hong Kong Island district, 8 housing estates recorded 9 transactions last week, a decrease of about 25% from the previous week. Among them, City Garden and City Garden Tai Koo each decreased by 3 and 2 transactions respectively; although Hong Yip Gardens increased by 2 transactions, the number of transactions in the Hong Kong Island district still decreased last week.
In the Kowloon district, 10 housing estates recorded 17 transactions last week, a decrease of about 15% from the previous week. Among them, Mei Foo Sun Chuen decreased by 3 transactions, Laguna City and Newport City decreased by 2 transactions each, and Telford Gardens decreased by 1 transaction; even with an increase of 2 transactions in Manhattan Hill, and an increase of 1 transaction each in Whampoa Garden, Tak Fook Gardens, and The Hermitage, trading in Kowloon district still decreased last week.
