On April 22, the Hong Kong Social Welfare Department released the latest figures on recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA). The number of cases receiving CSSA in March decreased by 194 compared to February, with a month-on-month decline rate of 0.1%.
On April 22, the Hong Kong Social Welfare Department released the latest figures on recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA). The number of cases receiving CSSA in March decreased by 194 compared to February, with a month-on-month decline of 0.1%. By the end of March, the total number of cases receiving CSSA was 195,581, benefiting a total of 262,266 individuals. In terms of case categories, the month-on-month decline in the category of cases with poor health was 0.3%, with 27,689 cases. The categories of cases with permanent disabilities and single parents both decreased by 0.2%, with 16,667 and 18,993 cases respectively. The categories of cases of elderly individuals and unemployed individuals both decreased by 0.1%, with 110,846 and 16,057 cases respectively. The category of cases with low income increased by 0.1%, with 1,356 cases.
