On April 17th, the stock price of Kuaishou (01024) performed actively in the morning session, rising by 3.39% to HK$50.35 as of the time of publication. On the news front, on April 15th, Kuaishou AI announced the upgrade of the Base Model and officially released the Keling 2.0 video generation model and the KeTu 2.0 image generation model to the global audience. Data shows that since its launch in June of last year, Kuaishou AI has completed over 20 iterations, with the global user base surpassing 22 million as of now. As the world's first user-available DiT video generation model, Kuaishou AI has generated a total of 168 million videos and 344 million image materials. In a span of 10 months, the monthly active users have increased 25 times. According to Gai Kun, Senior Vice President of Kuaishou and Head of Community Science, the newly released Keling 2.0 model maintains global leadership in dynamic quality, semantic response, and visual aesthetics, while the KeTu 2.0 model significantly improves in aspects such as instruction compliance, cinematic quality, and artistic style. Both models have consistently ranked first in multiple win-loss ratio evaluations within the team. For example, in the field of video generation, Keling 2.0 outperformed Google Veo2 by 205% and Sora by 367% in terms of win-loss ratio, significantly surpassing competitors in dimensions such as text relevance, visual quality, and dynamic quality. Additionally, to meet diverse user needs, Kuaishou AI officially launched a new interactive concept called Multi-modal Visual Language (MVL) for AI video generation, allowing users to combine multimodal information such as image references and video clips to convey complex creative ideas directly to AI efficiently. Based on this concept, Kuaishou AI also introduced multi-modal editing functionality, enabling users to input their ideas directly using images and generate creative videos that match their ideas. Soochow's report released on the 16th expressed optimism about the development of Kuaishou's AI business, believing that AI technologies represented by Keling have the potential to redefine advertising, professional creation, film and television, entertainment creativity, and other fields. The report also anticipates further growth in Kuaishou AI users and revenue, expanding the company's business prospects. In a recent report, CITIC SEC stated that since the launch of the AI strategy in 2023, Kuaishou has made comprehensive and practical strides in AI deployment, addressing traditional marketing challenges in content production, advertising infrastructure, and precision delivery. The company is poised to empower content consumption, e-commerce operations, and local leads through AI. On April 17th, the Kuaishou Local Life 2025 Summit was held in Shenyang. The theme of the summit was "New Market, New Opportunities for AI," focusing on the achievements of Kuaishou's local life business in empowering businesses with short videos and live content production. Smile Gu, Senior Vice President of Kuaishou and Head of Local Life Business, stated that in 2024, Kuaishou's local life GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) grew by 200% year-on-year, with GMV in new line cities (third-tier cities and below) increasing by over 220%. The number of daily paying users in 2024 increased by 100% year-on-year, with over 62% of users from new line cities, making them a key driver of continued growth for Kuaishou's local life. In 2025, Kuaishou's local life will further enhance AI to empower businesses in all aspects of operations, aiding businesses in running successful operations. The combination of "new line cities + AI" will become the growth engine for Kuaishou's local life. Furthermore, Guo Boyue, Head of Product Center of Kuaishou's Local Life Business, revealed that in 2024, over 10,000 local life merchants have already begun using AI tools for operations. In 2025, Kuaishou's local life will continue to explore the potential of AI in empowering business operations, increasing investment in AI in marketing tools to help businesses reduce costs and increase efficiency. Additionally, a new marketing rhythm of "big promotions + small promotions" will be introduced to meet the varying needs of businesses.
