On Monday, computer hardware stocks in the US performed strongly, with Dell Technologies, Inc. Class C (DELL.US) rising over 5%, HP Inc. (HPQ.US) rising 3%, and Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI.US) rising over 2%. In terms of news, it was reported that on April 11, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) quietly released updated tariff regulations, exempting import tariffs on goods including Automatic Data Processing, Inc. equipment, computers, communication devices, monitors and modules, and semiconductor-related categories, unaffected by "reciprocal tariffs". According to reports, if certain goods meet the classification numbers listed in the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule, they will be eligible for exemptions from "reciprocal tariffs". These goods include computers and peripherals, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, communication devices, storage devices, display modules, semiconductor devices, and integrated circuits. This tariff exemption applies to all countries affected by Trump's "reciprocal tariffs".
