Hong Kong Tourism Board holds meeting to coordinate preparations for tourists visiting Hong Kong during the "May 1st" holiday.

On April 9th, the Hong Kong Tourism Board held a meeting to coordinate preparations for receiving visitors during the upcoming Labor Day holiday period in mainland China (May 1st to 5th). The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Tourism Board, Rose So. She stated that the Labor Day holiday is a peak tourism season in Hong Kong, and the number of visitors is expected to increase. The Hong Kong SAR government departments, relevant agencies, and industry sectors will strengthen coordination and communication to provide high-quality tourism experiences for visitors. Rose So also mentioned that the relevant units will continue to maintain close communication before the Labor Day holiday in mainland China, plan and advance preparations for receiving visitors, and report the latest developments to the Chief Secretary for Administration who chairs the inter-departmental working group on festival arrangements. In addition to representatives of government departments such as the Hong Kong Police Force, Immigration Department, Hong Kong Customs, Transport Department, and various District Offices, several tourism-related organizations including the Tourism Industry Authority, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Hong Kong Tourism Council, West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, major tourist attractions, and the hotel industry, also sent representatives to attend the meeting.
