Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology (603659.SH) announced recently that its controlling subsidiary Katop Automation Europe GmbH (referred to as "European Katop") has signed a cooperation memorandum with German company MOLL Batterien GmbH (referred to as "MOLL"), covering the entire project lifecycle from product development to mass production cooperation. MOLL plans to build a sodium-ion battery factory in Germany, focusing on the energy storage sector. The project aims to develop high-performance, high-quality sodium-ion batteries for MOLL's energy storage systems. The factory will be located in Lichtenfels, Germany, within MOLL's existing infrastructure. The goal of the project is to achieve an annual production capacity of 500MWh to 1GWh, making MOLL a key player in the rapidly growing battery market. The signing of the cooperation memorandum with MOLL marks an important milestone in the company's overseas strategy, indicating that the company has established good overseas performance capabilities. The new business model of providing "materials + equipment" complete solutions has been highly recognized by overseas customers. With high-quality products and services, European Katop is expected to further accumulate rich experience in overseas deliveries, laying a solid foundation for the company to expand into overseas markets.
