ROBOSENSE (02498) opened more than 7% higher, with overnight Hesai Technologies soaring over 17%. As of the writing of this report, it has risen by 7.5% to 40.85 Hong Kong dollars, with a trading volume of 33.1294 million Hong Kong dollars.
In terms of news, the recent accident involving Xiaomi's SU7 has raised concerns among the public about the safety of intelligent driving assistance systems. According to an analysis by a smart driving technology expert cited by Interface News, the standard version of Xiaomi SU7 does not have a lidar sensor, and the pure visual mode has relatively poor recognition effect at night, which may result in recognition delays in identifying obstacles. Sinolink believes that lidar sensors have become the mainstream solution, and currently, the vast majority of high-end intelligent driving models in China are equipped with lidar sensors. Lidar sensors have high environmental perception accuracy, can directly obtain information such as distance, angle, reflection intensity, and speed of targets, and have strong anti-interference capabilities. Most domestic automakers adopt a technology route of sensor fusion, especially for models with advanced ADAS functions which commonly have lidar sensors. Only a few automakers are exploring visual solutions without lidar sensors following Tesla's lead, relying on sensors such as millimeter-wave radar and cameras for perception.
Sinolink stated that with the continuous decrease in the cost of lidar sensors, increasing technological maturity, and the enhancement of autonomous driving functions, the number of vehicles equipped with lidar sensors is expected to increase in the coming years, further boosting the market demand for lidar sensors. Guosen pointed out that according to High Appearance Intelligence, by 2024, the major domestic passenger car lidar sensor suppliers will be ROBOSENSE, Huawei, and Hesai Technologies, with market shares of 33%, 28%, and 26% respectively. The company, as a leading supplier of lidar sensors, is expected to benefit from the industry development.
