Nepalese Prime Minister Oli announced on the 9th that he had submitted his resignation to President Bhandari due to the "current unusual situation" in the country, in order to "further advance the political solution." Bhandari's press advisor, Kiran Pokharel, told Xinhua reporters that the President has accepted Oli's resignation. Demonstrations erupted in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and other regions on the 8th. Demonstrations are still ongoing in Kathmandu and other areas on the 9th. Currently, there are few vehicles on the streets of Kathmandu, and all shops are closed.
