On September 9, Guizhou Wuxing Liquor Group Maotai Town Wuxing Liquor Factory issued a statement, stating that recently, the company found that there were rampant promotions of "Wuxing Maotai liquor" on various short video and online live streaming platforms. The Douyin account "The Story of Anti-fraud Lao Chen" also released a video pointing out that the so-called "Wuxing Maotai liquor" sold for 140 yuan per two bottles has significant suspicion of infringement, which the company is paying high attention to. Wuxing Liquor Industry stated that the company has never produced, sold or authorized any unit or individual to produce and sell "Wuxing Maotai liquor". This product is suspected of infringing the relevant registered trademark rights of Guizhou Maotai Liquor Co., Ltd., and also constitutes unfair competition in the use of the company's name and infringement of trademark rights.
