Zou Lei: The National Energy Group maintains the world's largest wind power installation scale.

On September 9th, at the 2025 Global Energy Interconnection Conference held today, Zou Lei, Chairman of the State Energy Investment Group, stated in his keynote speech that China actively practices the path of green and low-carbon development. China has built the world's largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system, with renewable energy installed capacity accounting for about 60% of the total installed capacity and generating about 40% of the total electricity. New energy installed capacity accounts for about 47% of the total installed capacity and generates about 25% of the total electricity. These achievements contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to the world's energy transformation and sustainable development. Zou Lei mentioned that as a backbone energy enterprise in China, the State Energy Group practices the new energy security strategy, adheres to sustainable growth, promotes high-quality development, and strives to build an innovative and leading world-class energy supplier with coal as the foundation, multiple energy complementarity, industrial synergy, green and low-carbon, and digital intelligence. The State Energy Group's renewable energy installed capacity exceeds 150 million kilowatts, with wind power installed capacity reaching nearly 70 million kilowatts, maintaining its position as the world's number one.
