On September 9, 2025, the Four Seasons Qing Forum on the development of the elderly care service industry in Beijing was held. At the meeting, a keynote report entitled "Continuously Deepening the Reform and Development of Elderly Care Services, Exploring a Comprehensive Solution for Elderly Care Services in Beijing" was released. The report pointed out that by the end of 2024, Beijing had a total of 5.14 million elderly residents, exceeding the 5 million mark for the first time, accounting for 23.5% of the permanent population. With the continuous development of aging and declining birth rates, it is expected that in the early stage of the "13th Five-Year Plan", Beijing will enter a society with severe aging, and the elderly population will reach its peak in the middle of this century.
