Jiangsu issues "23 measures" for high-quality development of the postal industry.

The General Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Government recently issued the "Measures for Accelerating the High-Quality Development of the Postal Industry in the Province", to accelerate the construction of a modern postal service system with advanced facilities, first-class technology, and efficient services. The "Measures" propose that by 2027, the province's postal industry will surpass 25 billion pieces of postal business, and initially establish a complete infrastructure system, service supply system, and industrial support system. By 2035, the industry scale will double, the service network will cover urban and rural areas, connect throughout the country, and be integrated with the world, in order to build a postal industry that is compatible with the construction of a new modern Jiangsu in terms of "strength, wealth, beauty, and high level". The "Measures" put forward 23 specific practices in 8 aspects, including improving the postal infrastructure system, constructing a modern industrial construction support system, enhancing the industry service supply system, accelerating the development of smart postal services, promoting green and low-carbon development in the industry, building a high-level "safe postal service", improving industry governance level, and strengthening resource element guarantee. In terms of accelerating the development of smart postal services, it is necessary to develop "unmanned express delivery", promote the intelligence of facilities and equipment, and explore the value of industry data. In terms of promoting green and low-carbon development in the industry, efforts should be made to accelerate the green transformation of express packaging and control and reduce industry carbon emissions.
