The Special Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine Production were officially released today and will be formally implemented starting on March 1st next year.

The State Administration for Market Regulation officially released the "Specific Provisions on Supervision and Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine Production" today, proposing new requirements for the production supervision of Chinese herbal medicines, Chinese herbal formula granules, Chinese patent medicines, Chinese medicinal materials under approval management, and Chinese herbal extracts under record-filing management, focusing primarily on the quality of the source of Chinese medicinal materials and key production processes. It puts forward targeted solutions, encourages enterprises to upgrade and transform their production processes, and promotes digital transformation. This regulation will be officially implemented starting from March 1, 2026.
