The Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation issued the "Several Measures to Support the Innovative Development of the Advertising Industry Empowered by Artificial Intelligence in Shanghai" on the 8th. Among them, it proposed to strengthen the support for "AI + digital advertising" production factors. For digital advertising companies that advance the application of large model advertising in vertical industries through the deployment of third-party large model privatization, a subsidy of up to 50% of the approved contract amount, up to 5 million yuan, will be given. For digital advertising companies that purchase language materials from non-related parties for advertising applications in vertical industries, intelligent bodies, etc., a subsidy of up to 30% of the approved contract amount, up to 5 million yuan, will be given. Encouragement will be given for districts with conditions to provide support to digital advertising companies renting computing power at a proportion not exceeding 30% of actual investment, with a maximum support of up to 20 million yuan for a single entity annually. Quality large model platforms are encouraged to open a certain number of free accounts every year to support the use of digital advertising companies.
