According to the Zhongtong Finance APP, on September 8, the General Administration of Customs issued a document stating that, according to customs statistics, in the first eight months of 2025, China's goods trade continued to grow steadily, with a total value of import and export reaching 29.57 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year. Among them, exports amounted to 17.61 trillion yuan, a 6.9% increase; imports amounted to 11.96 trillion yuan, a 1.2% decrease, with a narrowing drop of 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous seven months. In August, China's total import and export value of goods reached 3.87 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.5%. Among them, exports were 2.3 trillion yuan, up 4.8%; imports were 1.57 trillion yuan, up 1.7%, achieving double-digit growth in exports and imports for three consecutive months.
