The yellow rainstorm warning signal in Shenzhen has been upgraded to orange.

According to the weather in Shenzhen, strong rainfall has occurred in the western part of the city in the past 3 hours. It is predicted that there will be 20-40 mm of precipitation in the next 2-3 hours. The Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau has upgraded the yellow rainstorm warning signals for Nanshan District, Baoan District, Guangming District, Futian District, and Longhua District to orange as of 06:30 on September 8, 2025. The city has entered a state of defense against heavy rain. Please stay away from low-lying areas prone to flooding, and be aware of the possible occurrence of local waterlogging, flash floods, landslides, and mudslides caused by heavy rain. According to the "Shenzhen Meteorological Disaster Warning Signal Release Regulations" and the notification from the Education Bureau, all primary and secondary schools, kindergartens in Shenzhen will be closed for the whole day on September 8. Boarding students who are already at school must follow the school's arrangements, and all activities related to youths in the city will be suspended.
