The 12th World Chinese Media Forum is held in Kunming.

The 12th World Chinese Media Forum, hosted by the China News Agency, was held in Kunming on September 7th. With the theme of "To Victory, Talk of Revival, Seek Unity", more than 120 representatives from over 50 countries and regions across five continents attended the forum. Chen Xu, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee and Director of the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, pointed out in his opening speech that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He hopes that Chinese media will continue to inherit the national spirit and the spirit of resistance, unite overseas Chinese, actively promote China's concept of peaceful development and mutual benefit to the international community, tell China's story in a way that integrates Chinese and foreign expressions, and contribute media power to the dialogue between Chinese and foreign civilizations and the development of world civilization. Li Baojun, member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Chen Lujun, President of the China News Agency, gave a speech, and representatives from Chinese media also spoke. During the forum, seminars and roundtable discussions were held, where experts, scholars, and Chinese media professionals engaged in dialogue on topics such as nurturing national spirit, continuing national traditions, and the development path of Chinese media in the era of intelligent media.
