Li Hongzhong announced the congratulatory message from President Xi Jinping and presided over the 15th plenary session of the China-Russia Friendship, Peace and Development Committee.

On September 6, Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Chairman of the Chinese-Russian Friendship, Peace and Development Committee, co-chaired the 15th bilateral meeting of the committee in Vladivostok, Russia with the Russian Chairman Jitov. President Xi Jinping's congratulatory message was read aloud, followed by speeches by the two chairmen. The Vice President of the Russian State Duma, Yarova, and more than 80 representatives from both sides of the committee attended the meeting.
