The Ministry of Water Resources has activated a level IV emergency response for flood control in Guangdong and Guangxi.
Affected by Typhoon No. 16 "Taba", it is expected that from September 7th to 10th, there will be a heavy rainfall process in Guangdong and Guangxi, mainly with heavy to torrential rain. In the areas with heavy rain, small and medium-sized rivers such as Jianjiang and Moyangjiang along the western coast of Guangdong and Naliujiang and Baishahe along the southern coast of Guangxi may experience floods above the warning level. In accordance with the "Emergency Response Regulations for Flood Defense and Drought Prevention of the Ministry of Water Resources", the Ministry of Water Resources initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood defense in Guangdong and Guangxi at 10:00 on September 7th, and dispatched two working groups to Guangdong and Guangxi to assist and guide the typhoon, heavy rainfall, and flood defense work.
