VinFast has launched its electric cars in India for the first time, priced lower than Tesla.

Vietnam car manufacturer VinFast has launched its first batch of electric cars in India. The company stated on Saturday that the starting price for the cheapest compact SUV, VF6, is 1.6 million rupees. The company will also launch the mid-size SUV VF7, with a starting price of around 2 million rupees. This is approximately one-third of the price of the Tesla Model Y in India. VinFast stated that the pricing announced on Saturday is indicative and only applies to the first 1500 cars sold or cars sold by November 30th, on a first come, first served basis.
