Iraq calls on OPEC member countries to reconsider their oil export quotas.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi called on OPEC to reconsider the country's oil export quota, stating that it does not reflect its reserves. Al-Kadhimi said at an event in Baghdad that Iraq's proven reserves are 150 billion barrels, "Our export quota does not commensurate with our reserves and production capacity. For a war-torn country, export quotas are not enough to generate sufficient income." OPEC+ member countries will hold a video conference on Sunday to discuss production policies.
