Turkey has announced the end of the zero tax exemption for luxury vessels, imposing an 8% special consumption tax on yachts, motorboats, and other pleasure boats. The measure, announced in a presidential decree published in the official gazette on Saturday, is effective immediately. It also includes small cruise ships and passenger boats not used for sea travel. This move is part of Ankara's broader efforts to increase tax revenue.
