Recently, reporters interviewed more than ten automotive parts companies in Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Guangdong, and other places. Most of the interviewed companies stated that although some automakers have started to adjust their payment terms, the actual changes in payment terms for some cooperation projects are not significant. Industry experts say that for automakers to fulfill their payment term commitments, they still need to overcome several challenges. In order to fundamentally alleviate the pressure on the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and to govern the "involution-style" competition, it is necessary to adopt a more transparent and detailed institutional design, establish hard constraints, and urge automakers to fulfill their payment term commitments.
