Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon stated that Intel's current production technology has not met the standards of suppliers for mobile processor manufacturers. Amon said in the program that if Intel could improve its manufacturing process to produce more energy-efficient chips, Qualcomm would consider working with them. "Intel is not our choice at the moment," Amon admitted, "but we hope to include it in our choices in the future." The CEO also said that Qualcomm will continue to cooperate with its existing foundry partners TSMC and Samsung Electronics. As a chip design company, Qualcomm, like most companies in the industry, adopts an outsourcing production model. Meanwhile, Intel, once the world's largest chip manufacturer, is trying to reverse its decline by attracting external customers like Qualcomm while maintaining its own chip manufacturing business.
