After the release of the US non-farm employment report, it briefly surged significantly at the beginning of the US stock market, accumulating a 4.95% drop for the week. On Tuesday, there was a short-term decline, followed by continued sideways movement at high levels and then continued low-level fluctuations. The Istanbul Stock Exchange's banking index closed up 0.47% at 15013.30 points, with a weekly decline of 7.42%. The Turkish lira opened lower against the US dollar, crawling around the 41.2639 lira mark throughout the day, with a cumulative decline of 0.27% for the week so far.
