The European Commission stated that Google favored its own online display technology services, harming competitors and online publishers, and has been abusing its market power since 2014. The European Commission demanded that Google stop this self-preferential behavior and take measures to eliminate its inherent conflicts of interest. The company has 60 days to inform the European Commission of its plan to comply with this order.
