At the 2025 World Intelligent Industry Expo, Zhu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China's Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd., discussed the acceleration of the automotive industry embracing AI. He mentioned that the era of intelligent cars in the digital age has arrived, and the future of cars is evolvable intelligent car robots. It is expected that by 2030, domestically manufactured L2 level assisted driving for passenger cars will become standard, with an adoption rate of over 10% for L3 level and above assisted driving. He also predicted that this year, China's sales of new energy vehicles will reach 16 million units, with a penetration rate exceeding 50%. By 2030, it is estimated that 80% of the Chinese market will consist of new energy vehicles, with global market penetration of new energy vehicles reaching 40% by 2030. Car companies with a global presence and a dual strategy of fossil fuel and new energy will have a significant advantage in the future. Additionally, Zhu Huarong believes that the best window for Chinese car brands to go international may only be two to three years, and he recommends strengthening industry self-regulation, operating in compliance with laws, and using technologies such as AI for cost reduction, product quality improvement, and service experience enhancement to create a favorable industry ecosystem.
