ByteDance and multiple parties jointly released an initiative to advocate authenticity as the bottom line for creation.
On September 5th, on the occasion of "Chinese Charity Day," ByteDance's public welfare platform collaborated with the China Charity Federation, the Public Welfare Communication Professional Committee of the China Television Artists Association, and worked together with Tencent Public Welfare, Weibo Public Welfare, and other organizations to hold the "New Media Charity Culture Communication Exchange Conference." At the event, various parties jointly launched the "Charity Culture Communication Quality Content Support Plan" and the "New Media Charity Culture Communication Initiative" to creators, creative agencies, and media. The "Charity Culture Communication Quality Content Support Plan" shows that from September to November, creators can produce and disseminate content for selected public welfare projects, and platforms such as Douyin, Video Number, and Weibo will simultaneously support high-quality public welfare content. In response to issues such as "fundraising fraud" and "fraudulent donation" that may occur when the public participates in charity, ByteDance's public welfare platform, in collaboration with various parties, released the "New Media Charity Culture Communication Self-Discipline Initiative" during the event. The initiative clearly sets authenticity as the bottom line for creating public welfare content, eliminating the spread of false news, unfounded rumors, and malicious rumors, ensuring the authenticity and credibility of public welfare projects; it also encourages the creation of high-quality works that combine humanistic care and the ability to inspire social goodwill.
