Today, the key project of Wuchang Expressway in Guizhou Province, the Jinqi Extra Large Bridge, was successfully connected. The bridge is located at an altitude of about 1300 meters, with a total length of 672 meters, and is a double-tower double-cable-stayed bridge. The main tower adopts an A-shaped diamond-shaped tower column, with a height difference of over 355 meters from the top of the tower to the water surface at the bottom of the valley. The bridge spans a dangerous terrain in the valley and poses great technical difficulties. The builders have introduced building information modeling and intelligent real-time monitoring system to control the quality of construction of piers, main towers, and steel beams throughout the process. As a key project of Wuchang Expressway, the overall progress of Jinqi Extra Large Bridge has reached 97.6% at present. After the completion of Wuchang Expressway, it will help to build a 1-2 hour traffic circle around Guiyang metropolitan area and link the national trunk lines such as Lanhai and Hukun, becoming a convenient channel connecting the Qiannan Economic Zone with the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
