The Democratic Republic of Congo has announced an outbreak of the Ebola virus in the province of Kasa, located in the central south. There have been 28 suspected cases reported, with 15 deaths. Patients are experiencing symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and bleeding. The World Health Organization stated on Thursday that samples tested at the National Institute of Biomedical Research in Kinshasa this week confirmed the strain to be Ebola-Zaire type.
