Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs deployed nationwide inspections of the autumn crop seed market, focusing on key crops such as wheat, rapeseed, and vegetables. The inspections will intensify checks on seed markets and retail stores, ensuring strict control over seed quality and effectively regulating the seed market order. At the same time, in accordance with the annual national seed industry supervision and law enforcement activities, special efforts will be made to crack down on potato seed, edible mushroom spawn, online seed sales, seed inspection agencies, and frozen bull semen, continuously cleansing the seed industry market by cracking down on illegal and irregular activities. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will send out 5 working groups to key seed use areas such as Henan, Hunan, and Jiangxi to provide supervision and guidance, conduct on-site supervision and law enforcement, strictly investigate and crack down on counterfeiting, infringements, unauthorized production and operation of seeds, effectively prevent substandard seeds from entering the market, and ensure the safety of agricultural production seeds, supporting the increase in yield of grain and oil crops.
