The General Office of the State Council recently issued the "Opinions on Further Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Sports Industry by Unleashing the Potential of Sports Consumption". The "Opinions" adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as the 2nd and 3rd plenums of the 20th Central Committee, fully implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of a modern sports industry system, continuously boost sports consumption, and enhance the overall strength and competitiveness of the sports industry. By 2030, the goal is to cultivate a number of sports enterprises and events with global influence, significantly increase the level of development of the sports industry, with a total scale exceeding 7 trillion yuan, playing an important role in building a new development pattern. The "Opinions" propose six key measures and 20 specific measures. Firstly, expanding the supply of sports products, enriching sports events, optimizing event service management, developing the outdoor sports industry, nurturing the growth of the ice and snow economy, and promoting the upgrade of sports equipment.
