Blackstone is reported to be reorganizing its Asian real estate division.
Some media reports claim that Blackstone Group is restructuring the senior management of its Asian real estate department, with a senior executive who has long been responsible for acquisition business set to depart. Reports indicate that Alan Miyasaki, who has been with the world's largest alternative asset management company for 24 years, with 18 of those years in Asia, will be returning to the United States. Luigi Caruso, the current Chief Operating Officer of the European real estate team, will take over his position. Caruso is expected to relocate to Singapore to take over from Miyasaki before January next year. In addition, Blackstone will also promote Asheesh Mohta, the head of acquisitions in India, to be the head of real estate business in India, while Tuhin Parikh will become the Vice President of Asian real estate business and the Executive Chairman of Indian real estate business.
