TrendForce Consulting: Leading companies "band together" to raise prices, prices in the photovoltaic industry chain are easy to rise and hard to fall.
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, TrendForce stated in an article that after the end of the high water period in October, the reduction in production by companies will become more pronounced. Coupled with expectations for the silicon material storage policy, the price of polycrystalline silicon is unlikely to see a downward turning point in the short term and will continue to remain strong. As for silicon wafers, despite the market experiencing structural oversupply, short-term prices are well supported by upstream cost pressures and a balance of supply and demand for certain sizes, providing some upward price momentum. In terms of photovoltaic modules, supported by cost, policy, and demand factors, the trend in module prices is optimistic and is expected to remain strong and steadily rise, with minimal possibilities of price cuts. Production expectations for modules in September show a slight trend towards increased production, with no clear signs of a decline in demand, further supporting prices.
