The Ministry of Commerce of China has ruled to impose a maximum anti-dumping duty of 78.2% on companies such as Corning from the United States.
The Ministry of Commerce of China has ruled that American fiber optic manufacturers and exporters have exported related cutoff wavelength shifted single-mode optical fibers to China by changing their trade patterns, which lacks sufficient business rationality, weakens the implementation effect of existing anti-dumping measures, and constitutes an evasion of anti-dumping measures on imported non-dispersive wavelength shifted single-mode optical fibers originating in the United States. The anti-dumping tax rates imposed on each company are as follows: Draka Communications America, Inc. 78.2%, Corning Inc. 37.9%, OFS-Fitel, LLC 33.3%, and other American companies 78.2%.
