Ministry of Commerce: Starting from September 4th, the current anti-dumping tax rate for imported non-dispersive displacement single-mode optical fibers originating in the United States will apply to imported related cutoff wavelength shift single-mode optical fibers originating in the United States.
The Ministry of Commerce announced a ruling on the anti-avoidance investigation of imported single-mode optical fibers with cut-off wavelength displacement originating from the United States. The Ministry of Commerce ruled that American optical fiber manufacturers and exporters exporting single-mode optical fibers with cut-off wavelength displacement to China by changing their trading patterns do not have sufficient commercial justification, weaken the effectiveness of the current anti-dumping measures, and constitute an avoidance of anti-dumping measures on imported single-mode optical fibers with non-displacement originating from the United States. According to the investigation results, the Ministry of Commerce has made a proposal to the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council to adjust the scope of taxation. The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council will make a decision based on the Ministry of Commerce's proposal, and in accordance with relevant regulations, starting from September 4, 2025, the current anti-dumping tax rate on imported non-displacement single-mode optical fibers originating from the United States will apply to imported single-mode optical fibers with cut-off wavelength displacement originating from the United States.
