Toyota announced that it will produce a new all-electric car in Europe.

On September 3rd, Toyota Czech Manufacturing announced that it will start production of a new type of electric car. This new pure electric vehicle will be the first electric car produced at Toyota's European factory. Toyota stated that it will invest approximately 680 million euros in expanding the Koln plant, increasing the factory area from 152,000 square meters to 173,000 square meters to accommodate the production of the new car and its batteries, and to build new painting and welding workshops. This investment also includes a government investment of up to 64 million euros from the Czech Republic for the construction of a specialized facility for battery assembly.
